Recode is reporting that it’s not so hard to build your own solar power plants.
A new startup called the Energy and Climate Leadership Group (ECGL), which is backed by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, announced that it had received a $25 million seed round from the Bill and Melinda Foundation.
The startup will be building solar energy storage systems that use batteries as well as solar panels.
The solar panels are connected to the grid via batteries, and the energy stored inside the solar panels is used to power the grid.
The Energy and Solar Leadership Group is an incubator that aims to help startups create green solutions that can help address climate change.
